Neilanjan ‘Neil’ Nandi
Multiple life encounters gave shape to Dr. Nandi’s interests where he has dedicated his career to the management, research and education of those afflicted with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) such as Crohn’s & Ulcerative Colitis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). These entities can present concomitantly making them not only diagnostic dilemmas but also therapeutic challenges. Recognizing these unique complexities for both clinician and patient alike, Dr. Nandi has aspired to elevate patient care beyond the clinic walls by empowering individuals with sound and candid educational awareness. Neil believes that education, nutrition, fitness, and mindfulness are critically essential to personal health & well being. Neil is also passionate about promoting preventive health initiatives including Nutrition, Fitness, Colon & Prostate cancer prevention and Men’s health to name a few.
Dr. Nandi obtained his undergraduate degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He pursued his medical studies at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago where he was recognized with the Dr. Frederick Stenn Award for outstanding humanism & compassion. Thereafter, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and then completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Miami. He has been fortunate to be recognized multiple times as an outstanding clinical educator throughout his residency, fellowship and as clinical faculty and enjoys spending time with his padouin learners, peers and mentors which is from whom he learns best!
In his free time, you can find Neil at Orange Theory Fitness as an avid fitness freak. Neil also enjoys dancing, being behind the photographer’s lens, reading mystery thrillers & biographies (especially by Walter Isaacson), delicious food, and traveling with his lovely wife Roshni!
As a matter of personal policy, Dr. Nandi has elected that 100% of any and all fees by Health Union, LLC are directly deposited to his non-profit team for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation known as ‘Nandi’s Gots the Runs!' Together we can beat the illness!
