Laura Scaviola

Laura began her battle with inflammatory bowel disease at age 25. She was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis after only a few weeks from a sudden onset of severe symptoms.

When she was first diagnosed with UC, she felt very alone. She didn't know anyone with this incurable disease until she started connecting with the IBD community on social media sites.

Through this, she found her purpose in advocacy was to make sure other IBD fighters know they're not alone, and to educate those who are unfamiliar with the journey of an ulcerative colitis patient.
