Things That Are Relatable Having IBD

You expect the toilet paper to be horrible on trips so you bring some or wipes of your own.

You cringe every time your fingers go through the toilet paper, though you’ve done it many times before.

Running to the bathroom

Taking a bite of food and already finding yourself running to the bathroom.

If you’re a woman, there is never a safe time to paint your nails. And the moment you do, you have to use the bathroom every single time!

You hate going out to eat because you know that 25$ plate is vacating your body as soon as you put it in your mouth.

You just left the bathroom for the 20th time today & you still need to eat something with your pills.

Odd eating habits

You’re either never hungry or you’re always hungry!

You find yourself eating at extremely odd hours of the day and not often with your family/significant other.

Coffee is always questionable.

You pack snacks wherever you go because you’re always hungry and need to eat a million small meals a day.

“I don’t need to eat today, I already ate yesterday.” (and things didn’t go well)

Other things to deal with

You’ve gone to the wrong doctor at the wrong clinic & you’ve been there at the wrong times... because you have too many Doctors!

You take at least one bath a day. Sometimes you find yourself taking way more than 2 a day.

You’re forced to dig through your own stool far too often in order to give a sample to the lab.

Even when you swear you’ve locked the bathroom door, there will always be someone or something that tries to follow you in and join the party.

You name your heating pad. You name your stoma. You name your pill box.
