  2. I’m still here the bleeding has seemed to calm down some and the pain and crapping not so bad and thank you for that I appreciate it … I’m looking for any information you could send my way about everything it’s all new and I’m trying to learn all I can to control it

  3. , I hear how all of this can feel very overwhelming, especially in the beginning, and I'm so glad you are reaching out for help. In an effort to not overwhelm you even more, I'll start with just three links, each with some more general info to get you started.

This first link simply goes into detail about what exactly UC is: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/types-of-ibd/ulcerative-colitis

This next link talks about the mental side of going through a diagnosis and living with IBD. i personally think this is so important and not talked about enough! https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/living-with-cd/mental-health

Finally, this last link talks about living with IBD: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/living-with-cd

I hope this is a good starting point for you. Once you check these out, please let us know if you have any other specific questions! We have a ton of resources here and are more than happy to help you find any info you're looking for. Going through this isn't easy and we don't want you to have to do it alone. Sending big hugs your way. Kindly, Crystal (IBD team)

  4. Three years in, I'd already had three surgeries, so I was a total pro by then haha. I was forced into learning about my disease sooner than I'd probably have liked. Accepting it was hard. Happy to answer any questions you have!
