"Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis this past year-allergic to mesalaminde, budesimide did not work, Prednisone taper and remicade initially helped but recent flare not resolved with Prednisone and remicade. Anyone notice a burning sensation inside lips and and cheeks? I am 66 and still trying to wrap my head around all of this. I read that some of you eat potatoes-how about rice? I am currently following SCD but having 5-8 stools, not true diarrhea, most days. Also starting to experiment with 1/4 to 1/2 Imodium daily which does seem to cut down on bathroom trips. I hope to get off infusions and progress to oral meds as we will lose our insurance when my husband retires in the next 6 months. any advice or experiences you share are appreciated. Thank you!"
