  1. , my heart goes out to you! I know from your various posts and comments that it has been a challenging time for you lately and I can hear how frustrating it is to have so little energy. I was going to share the IBD and weight gain article with you, but I see that you have commented on it, so I'm guessing you have already read it. Did your doctor talk to you about your concerns today when you had your blood draws / weight check?

I hope some of our members with similar experience and frustration can share with you here because I know you aren't alone! Sending you gentle hugs. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

  2. Yes just to loose weight as im overweight. Easier said than done.

  3. Hi . I don't know enough about them to say whether one would be a good fit (and I'm not a medical professional), but I do know there is increasing research finding that GLP-1 medications may not only help with weight loss, but also have other benefits for those with IBD. This article talks about some of the findings on GLP-1 meds and IBD: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37081371/. This even more recent research found "GLP-1 analogs are associated with improved outcomes in IBD, specifically in patients with obesity:" https://academic.oup.com/ecco-jcc/article-abstract/19/4/jjae160/7833454?redirectedFrom=fulltext. Again, I can't recommend anything, but want to present the information in case it can help inform further conversations with your doctors. Please know that this community is here for you.
