Crohn’s Disease

Hi, my name is Lori, and I’ve had Crohn’s disease since the 80s. In 2001 I had to have a ileostomy because my large intestines were critical and covered with ulcers.

I thought it would be heavenly; with the ileostomy I wouldn’t have Crohn’s anymore. But, I have had the ileostomy over 20 years, and I still have Crohn’s. I just get so tired of the ileostomy because I have skin irritation. They tell me it’s from leakage, I don’t have leakage.

I get so frustrated I just want to give up sometimes.
