My journey

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 10 years ago. Then I was put on high doses of prednisone and I wasn’t getting any better. I soon became so sick that my body started shutting down. I went into DKA and when I woke up in the ICU I found out I had diabetes type 1. Then my oral medications stopped working so I was put on Remicade and I have been on it for 9 years now. Since my diagnosis I have found out that I have gastritis, ulcers are forming in my stomach, and I’ve had many bouts of c-diff. As of today my colon shows minor inflammation and my stomach still shows a lot of inflammation. I take each day as it comes to me and hopefully my UC will still stay under control and I hope my stomach inflammation will get better.
