My Story

I have had Crohn's since 2004. At first, I was managing it ok, but then just the last couple of years have been unbearable. Constantly bloody stools, fistulas, diarrhea, fever, infection. I had to leave my job because I was missing so many days, they didn’t understand my medical problems.

I feel like this disease took over my life, and at 59 and single, it's hard to try and be in a relationship. Just recently did a colonoscopy and was told I have UC and diverticulitis along with Crohn's I was like, what it can be very depressing. I have been on Remicade before, but now the doctor trying me on SKYRIZI hope it gives me some relief, but first, I have to do 2 weeks of antibiotics and steroids then I will get my first infusion.
