My story, my hell

I was diagnosed with Crohn's back in 2001. I was rushed to hospital with severe abdominal pain. Test after test were done and colonoscopy. The conclusion... Crohn's Disease. I worked in the medical field for 23 years prior to this and I was shocked, but relieved. Before my dx I always went to the doctor complaining always of severe abdominal pain and sore joints. I was in the hospital for 10 days. Over the years I feel it's getting worse as I get older. I'm 49 years old and find it harder to recover from a bad flare. I'm going through some issues now of just really bad pain.
