This helped me with my fistulas

I had a doctor that learned under Dr. Crohn himself. His name was Dr. Ross & he called it “the Ross bikini”. He said to put a piece of cotton between your cheeks to absorb sweat or any drainage. After multiple fistulas, my butt looks like a dart board, I haven’t had one in years. I always use the “Ross bikini”, but instead of the cotton, I use a sterile 4×4 gauze pad cut in half. I am never without it, don’t even go to bed without it & never stay in a wet bathing suit. It has kept me fistula free for over 15 years. If it ever feels like it is coming back, I use a very hot sitz bath & it either prevents it or it opens a little through a previous fistula track & drains. Always make sure the pad is dry. Hope this is useful info for someone.
