What to expect with first Inflectra infusion?

Hi,
I am new to the group. I was diagnosed with ulcerative proctitis 6 years ago. After being on lialda and Imuran for 6 years, these drugs are now failing me. I am moving on to biologics. My first infusion in 6/7. In addition to sitting for 2-3 hours, what can be expected in terms of side effects, being able to work and exercise the day of/next day etc.?

  1. Hi Pamela,

Welcome to the group! You mentioned that your first infusion is on the 7th, and I want you to know I'll be thinking of you!

I hope you will get some additional experiences from our community members but in the meantime, I wanted to share an article that might offer some insight that you find helpful:

I hope this helps – please keep us posted on your journey!

    1. Hi Amanda,
So far so good. First dose. No problems. Just time consuming.

    2. Hey Pamela!

How has your infusions been going, and have you found any relief from your symptoms over the past 3 months?

      Best,
      Julie

  2. Hi Pamela!
I'm glad to hear that it went well! I definitely understand the time consuming aspect - you're not alone on that frustration.
I hope you have a great weekend!
