Anyone in a clinical trial for Filgotinib?

I’m just curious if anyone else has been tapped by their physician to try out the latest JAK inhibitor, Filgotinib. The trial coordinator told me, and I’ve since read as much, that it has had very promising results with fewer side effects on those who are suffering from RA. They are now hoping to see if it will treat Crohn’s...fingers crossed!

I of course said I’d try it after my first two biologic experiences- *extreme* clumping hair loss on Remicade and sliding into my now current flare while on Humira.

The biologics had to be out of my system for 60 days prior to being looked at as a potential candidate. I’m now laying here in bed questioning my own thinking.

Always second guessing,
Connie

  1. Hello there Connie, thanks for reaching out to us. Deciding whether or not to partake in a clinical trial is hard for many people, you are definitely not alone. I wanted to share with you a few articles from our site that discuss clinical trials and how one might make the decision whether or not it's right for them: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/clinical/is-a-clinical-trial-right-for-me/ https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/clinical/reasons-for-participation/ https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/clinical/10-things-to-know/ I hope that others are able to chime in with their own personal experiences.
