Crohn's disease since I was 12 , when I stretch backwards weird big lump appear on my middle stomach feels squesh n tube like, what is this

  1. Hello, , I am sorry to hear that you are dealing with a lump in the middle of your stomach. We are not doctors and can not give medical advice (or diagnosis) over the internet, so I really encourage you to reach out to your doctor if you haven't already. It might be helpful for them to be able to see the lump and examine it themselves. We always encourage that with any new or worsening symptom one checks in with their doctor as the doctor can best determine what is causing the symptom. I'm sorry that I can not be more specifically helpful, but hopefully, as you wait to hear from your doctor, some of our community members here can share if they've had any similar experiences. Please, if you're comfortable, keep us updated on how you're doing and what you find out from the doctor. Wishing you a gentle day. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

    1. Hi . I'm just writing to echo that any new, disturbing symptom should be checked out. A similar question was posted last year with two of our patient leaders having the same reaction: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/forums/lump-in-my-tummy. Also, in this article our patient leader Vern discusses how a lump in his abdomen led to his first surgery: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/living/crohns-related-surgery. Hoping you can get some answers and relief soon. Please feel free, if you like, to keep us posted on how you are doing. Best, Richard (Team Member)

      1. I concur with both team members and . I would inquire with your doctor as to whether you have swelling in your bowel or a hernia. I only mention checking with a physician about a hernia because I have one right on my stomach area, too. I haven't had surgery as it's not causing me any pain. But you can ask a medical professional about it. Best of luck!--Traci, UC-IBD Team Member
