IBD is Crohn's for ME

Now, I'm on prednisone, a steroid. I'm 60, very active, and have made major dietary changes due to intestinal "issues." And, yes, I did put that in quotation marks. I'm not going to keep labeling something that I know exists and will continue to exist. I will pursue ways to live comfortably with this...PERIOD.

So far, the steroid is doing its job for me as I go into my third week of the prescribed daily doses. Yup, got SIDE EFFECTS. I pray THOSE away. A LOT OF PRAYING, lol.

I figured out on July 8th that I am DEFINITELY now a serious gluten-free mama after a morning bout of a magnificently prepared bowl of my favorite cream of wheat. I fixed it the way I always have since I learned to cook it myself at 10 years old and.....I GOT SO FREAKING SICK WITHIN HAVING IT IN MY SYSTEM FOR ONLY FIFTEEN MINUTES. It. Was. The. Worst. That's all I'm going to write on THAT.

So intestinal "issues" are real, seriously real, and are not to be taken lightly. As for my condition, I am under great medical care and very thankful for that. I am in the process now of returning to my gastro doc for some consideration after the prednisone is completed. Hmmm.... let's do THIS SEASON RIGHT and find some answers so I can help others in THEIR journey with intestinal "issues." Peace and Love. DON'T STOP.
