Awaiting a diagnosis in UK

After many years, I've got tired of being told "it could be IBS" and "live with it" so I'm pushing my GP for a proper diagnosis.
My current bout has lasted since Nov 2020 and despite 2 colonoscopies, a gastroscopy and CT scan, all negative and clear for the dreaded big C btw, I think it may be time to try thinking outside the box.
So, folks, I'm thinking of fasting every other day to reduce the load on my GI tract.

Please come back and tell me what you think?
Thank you all, in advance

  1. So sorry you are going through this and not feeling well. I think if you feel like fasting might help, it's worth a shot. As for me, fasting makes me more sick so I can't really do it. Have you tried a liquid diet? Bone broth, chicken broth, nutritional smoothies etc. That's an option too, in case the fasting is too intense.

I hope you feel better soon.
