CD

Like to know from you people which foods to avoid, foods to eat. Can I live with CD.

  1. You can absolutely live with CD it just takes effort and concentration to make sure you give your gut what it needs.

As far as what you can eat. It is very different for everyone. What I tolerate food wise might not be what you tolerate. But I will still share what works for me.

I stay away from wheat. Wheat is a huge trigger for me and puts me into a flare. So you can say I am Gluten-free but I take it a step further and avoid wheat completely. I also avoid overly processed foods like soda, chips, processed meats, things that come premade or can be microwaveable.

I eat lots of organic protein mostly poultry and fish. Cooked veggies. Rice. Potatoes. Minimal sugar and if I do have sugar it is always natural in the form of honey or cane sugar. I do have dairy but minimal.

I take supplements daily which are: probiotic, L-glutamine, beef liver, beef intestines, colostrum, vitamin D.

    I hope this helps some!

    1. Thank you for your question, @madhu. You not only can live with CD, but you can live a happy and thriving life with CD!
I personally am gluten free, as gluten triggers my symptoms, and I try to avoid dairy as much as possible. I also know that I cannot tolerate spicy foods or greasy food. But, every patient is different and our bodies tolerate foods differently. Don't feel discouraged if there is a food you cannot tolerate (like popcorn) that others can't, as I am sure there are other things you can eat safely.
I would recommend keeping a food log of everything you eat and see if any specific foods bother you. Eliminating common gut irritants like caffeine, gluten, dairy, sugar, and nuts/seeds can be a helpful place to start. Then, you can reintroduce them one by one and see if any of them are your problematic foods.
Is there anything you specifically avoid right now?

      1. i agree with all already said, but I would also eliminate RED MEAT (COWS) and add coconut water daily for a natural inflammatory, as well as coconut milk yogurt daily, and possibly inner-eco LIVE liquid probiotic a sip a day unless stool goes completely liquid then take off a few days from inner-eco
