Infusion Site Blood Clot- Dr. Doesn't Care

I was diagnosed with IBD in 2006.
I was 43. Every flare was not something that could easily be controlled. In 2010 all meds failed. I became bedridden for 11 months, was going nothing but blood 40+ times a day. Sleep deprived, emaciated, starving ( protein that low) to death, organs ready to shut down ( no potassium) experienced Tenesmus, constant pain. I weighed 70lbs. I looked like a human skeleton. My Specialist told me Remicade was my last resort- if it failed, my colon would need to be removed. None of it was normal. Completely Ulcerated.
Thank God, it worked. My liver was no longer producing bile. Once the meds began to work, small solid pieces looked completely translucent with a vein of blood along the inside.
Fast forward 12 years. I received home infusions. Then Medicaid refuses to pay for Remicade or home health.
I'm 60 with comorbidity.
So, I am receiving aid from the manufacturer- but had to go into the Dr. Office/Infusion Suite for the first time in years. Here is where I am ready to fall apart...
The nurse did not swab my arm before inserting the needle, then covered the needles entrance with Coban tape- I couldn't monitor the infusion site.
She placed the blood pressure monitor on my other arm and never came back to check me. My blood pressure is normally low... 110/60 at most unless um afraid. My blood pressure went to 159/110! My infusion takes an hour.
She removed the needle, wrapped it with a cotton ball and Coban and said your done. I have had over 80 infusions over these 12 years- NEVER ONCE DONE THIS WAY! A clear tape would cover the needle/ port and a small piece to hold down the infusion tube. Never completely covered!
I went home and removed the Coban to find the site completely black and blue and a dime size hard blood clot at the infusion site.
I looked it up. I monitored myself. It hurt. I wrapped it tight and kept it elevated. My blood pressure went back to normal. I took my blood oxygen
( which she never did) and it too was normal. The staff at this office has always been rude, have messed up my medication orders- I rarely get called back. In the past I have voiced these issues to my Specialist. Yesterday, my Dr. Wanted a Telehealth. I told him what happened. He NEVER asked about the clot- NEVER seemed concerned about my blood pressure or any part of what I told him. His response: you seem consistently critical of my staff- so we don't seem to be meeting your needs. You need to find another Specialist.
WHAT??? My husband, took the phone- told him what I said was warranted.
It didn't matter.
I have had this doctor for 10 years.
Now, I have no home health and need a new Specialist! I don't know where to begin. I moved to this state after I obtained partial remission 10 years ago. I don't want to just blindly go to someone else.
I'm seriously ready to just forget it all! Forget Medicaid- they aren't covering my needs- I'm just tired. I'm tired of constantly fighting to keep coverage- being my own advocate every step- this office had screwed up my medication so bad that my Infusion was over a week late! The medication hadn't been delivered on time and they wouldn't give me what they had in the meantime- but get this... I only have 200mg ( 2 viles) but they ordered 3- and used 2... So, they kept my medication from the manufacturer!
But they couldn't help me.
I don't know what to do. Where to turn. I believe the way I was treated was wrong. I was hurt and it could have been worse! But, the doctor just cares about his staff. You can Google him. All these reviews complain about the staff. But I am CRITICAL??? Was I wrong to tell him what happened?
He hasn't lifted a finger to help me get help with my meds through the manufacturer and it was a nightmare! The staff kept leaving things off the one page they had to fill out- then ordered it to be delivered on the day of my Infusion which the pharmacy said it needs to be ordered 7-10 days BEFORE to have it available on the date of your infusion! Hence it's delay! But I'm CRITICAL?? My records are screwed up. They have me as "UNSPECIFIED" and not "TOTAL UC." They have allergies I don't have and those I do unlisted- they said I was in the office on days I wasn't- said I had blood test results that weren't mine- and wanted me to have additional tests for a CKD! I don't have CKD! AM I WRONG? IM BEING Pushed Out AND MADE TO SEEM DIFFICULT WHEN I WAS HURT AND IT DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER!
Please! Anyone... Talk to me... What would you do?
