Medication ? Zapozia Vs Stellara
Hello I’m new here.
I have Ulcerative Colotis for about 18 years. Have always been able to manage w lower grade medications. Sulfasalazine to be exact. But now I’ve had a flare for months. And my dr is suggesting the above medications. Am wondering if anybody is on them or has been on them. How have you felt. Any side effects? Pros cons. Any info will help. Thank you
I was diagnosed with Crohn's colitis and I used to be on Stelara. I really liked it actually. I had zero side effects and it is an injection you give yourself. It is an actual syringe but I found it to be very easy and virtually painless. I loved that I could administer the medicine in the comfort of my own home and not have to go to an infusion center. In the beginning weeks when first starting on the med, I only dealt with headaches but then they went away. Other than that, I never had a side effect. I just had to move on from it because it didn't help heal my gut so we tried another medicine after about a year and a half of seeing if there would be any results. -Elizabeth (team member)
