  1. Hi Pip, so sorry that you are going through that all over body pain! I really hope that your medication comes through quickly. Do you know what they are putting you on? In the meantime, I would recommend baths and heating pads for the pain, as well as Tylenol if need be (but no NSAIDS, like Motrin or Aleve, as they can exacerbate IBD symptoms). A back rub or massage can be nice too in my experience. Here are a few more tips as well: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/living/uc-joint-pain

Please do keep us updated on how you are doing and how your new medication goes! -Eshani (IBD Team Member)

    1. Thanks You for ur reply
I got my prescription through finally this afternoon
It's looks like salofalk granules and salofalk suppository ..
I will try heat pads and warm baths see if that helps
      Many Thanks
      Pippa

    2. Hi . asked the very same question, just 10 days before you!
I will say the same to you as I said over on that post - but you can find the post and comments on it here: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/forums/all-over-body-pain#reply-117872

Joint pain is a very common symptom in the IBD community. For me, joint pain and fatigue were amongst my worst symptoms.
      Worth noting:
Other conditions are more likely to be diagnosed in people with IBD, such as rheumatoid arthritis.
IBD related arthritis is also a thing.
Fibromyalgia is pretty common in people with IBD. This usually involved widespread pain, and will usually affect joints, muscles, even skin.
I have had issues with my skin since being diagnosed with IBD too. Literally having a scalp psoriasis flare at the moment...
Let us know how you got on!
