What Dietary Restrictions Do You Have?

I have noticed certain foods such as dairy and raw vegetables make my symptoms much worse. What foods do you try to avoid?

Have a question? Ask it here!

  1. I'm not good with anything that has air trapped in it -so fizzy drinks, whipped cream etc!
Actual food types, I can generally eat all of. I love my veg, and would happily just eat bowls full of it, but I have to have it with something stodgy like bread, pasta or potato.

    1. This is very interesting. When my guts are sensitive, I also cannot eat raw vegetables or dairy! On a daily basis, I struggle with coffee (but interestingly not espresso) and red sauce.

      1. Great question! I have been on a gluten free diet since 2013 and it changed my life. I also limit the amount of processed food and dairy (absolutely no milk, ice cream, or yogurt) and try to eat mostly whole grains, lean protein, fruits and vegetables (I know, pretty much the opposite of every other Crohn's patient!).

        1. I try to avoid dairy, grains and processed sugar. Dairy is easy for me to avoid. Grains has always been a challenge. I love bread, pasta and rice so it's hard not go crave them sometimes. But for the most part I do well avoiding it.
