Eshani Agrawal was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2015 at the age of 21. After her diagnosis, she came to see her illness as a piece of what helped her become who she is today: a thoughtful, strong, and more empathetic person. Today, Eshani is a writer and educator whose work has appeared in numerous anthologies. She enjoys writing about relationships, self-advocacy, and navigating the healthcare system.

Vern Laine has been living with Crohn's disease for 35 years and counting. After many surgeries, bowel resections, fistulas, abscesses, fissures, kidney stones, obstructions, fatigue, dehydration, and many other complications, things seemed to have turned around, and other than Crohn's he is healthy. He enjoys writing about mental health, surgery as a treatment option, and symptom management.

Eshani and Vern look forward to answering your questions about the physical and mental aspects of living with Crohn's and ulcerative colitis (UC).

"Ask Me Anything" about managing Crohn's or UC
