Has anyone with crohn's had the covid-19 vaccine? If so, which one? Do you mind sharing if you had side effects, etc.? I'm really on the fence on this. I don't want to "rock my immunity boat", so to speak. Thank you!

I had the fist dose Pfeiser vaccine last week and the only side effect I had was a sore arm which surprised me somewhat for I have had Crohns for 50 years and have a compromised immune system

I had my 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine this past Friday. Aside from some injection site soreness and some increased trips to the bathroom, it was pretty unremarkable.

This is definitely something you don’t want to postpone. The small or minor side effects for me were minimal. I’ve been on a ventilator after a botched bowel surgery. It’s not something you want to try by any means. Get the vaccine.

Yes I had my first covid jab last month and it was an absolute breeze! I was given the Oxford jab.
I didnt feel a thing at the time. And then the lady actually told me that I would most likely feel a bit groggy that evening and for the next day or two...
But I only felt tired and had flushed cheeks for an hour or two that night but other than that I had no other symptoms and haven't noticed that its impacted my Crohns at all!
My arm was bruised for about 3 weeks tho 😄 and a bit sore for a few days but it was totally bearable.
Highly recommend it, I personally feel the benefit completely outweighs the risks but yes, if you're not sure, speak to your IBD team...
