Crhons desease

I had emergency surgery for bowel perforation. After surgery I was told that it was due to crhons desease. I am confused becouse I had none of the symptoms apart from severe joint pains. A couple of years prior to op I was diagnosed with a immune deficiency. Fibromyalgia. Tinnitus and recurring chest infections.a year prior to surgery I had a bowel screen test for cancer which bowel and intestinal tract was fine. This all happened two year after I had a insect blood infection. Anybody out there had similar bowel perforation without any symptoms .my GP says my other diagnosed problem are coincidental

  1. Hi I have not had a bowel perforation but I did have zero symptoms before I got Crohn's. My symptoms came along suddenly and it is possible to have a diagnosis of Crohn's suddenly and then not have gradual symptoms, though many people have lingering symptoms before diagnosis.
Let us know how you get along.

    1. as Vern said below, sometimes the onset of disease is very quick. Plus, not everyone experiences the same symptoms.
My disease progressed rapidly, and I went from being well to surgery in just under 3 weeks. We're all different, and the journey is definitely not the same for everyone.
I hope you're doing OK at the moment.
