Ct scans

I definitely understand your concern. I haven't had 50 CT scans, but definitely have had over 10. If you are uncomfortable doing them, I would simply tell your doctor you don't want to do them anymore. I have refused a CT scan before in the ER. Personally, I have never had a scan reveal something we didn't already know, but I'm just speaking from personal experience. I have never had to deal with blockages.

Your concern is definitely valid. I would talk it over with your doctor.

Thank you for getting back to me. I just worry if drs have already gone to far and I’m doomed for cancer. Cure pne disease get another. Not what I wanna do u know?

You might want to ask an actual imaging technician. I cannot begin to count the number of CT scans and other imaging I have done over the years, Recently I asked the technician who was doing the scan, about the cumulative effects of radiation. He told me that radiation from a typical scan or series of x-rays was about the equivalent of spending an entire day out in the sun. I have no way of knowing weather this is true or not, or if this is just his opinion. Good luck to you.

I completely understand, Lonkert98! I had so many CT scans in such a short amount of time that my doctors only allow me to get MRIs now. They're concern was that I am of child-bearing age and that it would potentially cause problems with fertility (I am actually pregnant now so fortunately everything worked out!).
However, they explained to me that while you are exposed to more radiation than an X-Ray (100 times per scan, to be exact) that it still isn't enough to do too much damage, as long as you and your team are mindful of the amount of tests.
So, I would just ask if you can start integrating MRIs as part of your testing process rather than continuous CT scans. I am sure they will listen!
