Diarrhea

I h Covid 19 in November 2021 over into mid-December 2022. One of my symptoms was diarrhea. It is now late April and I still am suffering
with this problem. Had tests on both stool and urine with no results of anything being wrong. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what can be done? So sick of spending part of each day taking care of
this issue, plus have not made it in time on several occasions and that is really a hard time.

  1. Hi @CommunityMember74, I am sorry you have been dealing with this. I have heard that diarrhea can be a symptom of COVID 19, but I'm sure it's awful to be dealing with it so many months later. Are you experiencing other IBD symptoms as well, like blood in your stool? I'm wondering if you've also touched base with a doctor to see if this is related to the COVID more than IBD? Regardless, we all know what it's like to deal with ridiculous amounts of diarrhea, so we are here for you. <3 Many of us stick to light diets when we're going through diarrhea, and some people carry a change of clothes with them too. Let us know how we can help and what kinds of tips you're looking for! -Eshani (IBD Team Member)

    1. Thanks for your response. No other problems and this month, #7 in my distress, it has started to follow a pattern that is easier to live with. My hope is that it will finally run its course and at some point will go back to normal. I am soon going to be 79 yrs old and hopefully this will soon just be a memory.

      1. Yes, amen to that. I hope things turn around soon and it runs its course as you way. Keep us posted. Hugs, Elizabeth (team member)
