End Colostomy (Descending colon) with Protectomy

My surgery is on the books for September 20th; which will be here before I know it. As much as I read, watched, and obsessed over the procedures themselves, I'm super anxious about all of the 'unknowns' that come afterwards. Would some of you kind ladies and gents chime in about your experience(s) and give me a bit of sage advice on what to expect/do or don't do/try. I feel like I'm flying into a Bermuda Triangle of sorts, LOL! Any kind words are appreciated, thanks!!
