Hi,
Haven’t been on here for a while so hope everyone is well!!
Quick recap of my story….
I’ve Been suffering with symptoms for years and was told it was IBS by GP. Symptoms got worse and was finally sent for a colonoscopy & biopsy last year but everything seemed fine so GP said it was just IBS and just had to deal with symptoms.
Fast forward to this year and after still struggling with symptoms and loosing my mind, I started researching to go private and found a health service that do thorough blood and stool tests for digestive health.
I’ve recently had the tests done and my blood results revealed that my pepsinogen I levels are low, with the common cause being gastritis.
My stool tests revealed that calprotection was present in my stool samples, which I know can indicate inflammatory in the bowel and can be associated with IBD.
I’m yet to have my follow up consultation to discuss my results, which is in three weeks but I’m extremely impatient 🙈 and thought I’d jump on here in the mean time for some advice.
Has anyone ever had the same or similar test results?
Could it be IBD, Gastritis or both?
Any help would be extremely appreciated.
Thank you,
Danielle ☺️
