A question for the caregivers...

What would you tell someone whose child or loved one was recently diagnosed with Crohn's or ulcerative colitis?

  1. Hi there, my child was diagnosed in 2019 with uc and to be honest for any parent or family member it is a very difficult time to grasp what is going on at the beggining. Not only are you terrified for your loved one but you have this strive in you to do whatever you can to help them become healthy and have a good quality life.
I wont be able to do justice to your question but I believe that sending your love thier way helps, a kind word, a listening ear, offering to helping them out in anyway and being a form of a support system.
For us parents who have children suffering any illness knowing you have people around you that are there to support you even with the slightest thing can be a form of comfort.

    Hope that helps

    1. This is excellent advice. I know when my parents support me it makes a worlds difference. Knowing you always have someone to lean on is everything, so I love that you shared this. -Elizabeth (team member)
