Hi. Hope anyone can help. I was diagnosed 5 yrs ago with non specific colitis and diverticula disease. I have been on Pentasa since then although stoped taking for a few months as advised by Gp. For the last 4 months I have had awful pain when opening bowels, especially after eating. With episodes of diarrhoea up to 5 times a day. I had 3 episodes of diverticulitis 2 years ago ,confirmed on ct scan.
2 weeks ago I had a colonoscopy and biopsies which have all come back normal?? Can diverticula go away and can inflammation heal?
Feeling really frustrated and fed up.

, I'm sorry to hear how you're struggling. Have you brought your symptoms up with your doctor, since coming off of your treatment? If so, have you discussed new treatment options? You aren't alone in feeling frustrated and fed up. This question of "Is it possible to have IBD and not show up on colonoscopy" is our MOST popular topic in our forums.
