Hi ,
I had the same thing happen to me a while back, and mine ended up being due to prednisone. I had been on and off it for years, but the last time I was on it I felt like I had migrating arthritis. My elbow would hurt one day, then my finger the next, and my ankle the day after. It got so bad that I couldn't even walk some days. Ultimately, my doctors figured out that the prednisone was causing fluid to collect in my joints which was causing the pain and stiffness. But then I would take the next dose and it would make the inflammation go down and the pain would recede. It was such a vicious cycle and it didn't fully go away until I was able to stop taking prednisone and had been off of it for a while so it could get out of my system. I was completely unaware that steroids could do that, but given that they cause us to retain water etc, it made sense when they finally put it together.
I hope you have found some relief!
