Possible crohns or UC
Looking for some advice 2 years ago I ended up in hospital with severe bloody diarrhoea and pain had a scope and they found cobblestone mucosa and polyps , diagnosed with UC started on steroids and mesalazine 6 weeks later returned for a repeat colonoscopy still on steroids , biopsies taken all cape back normal( probably as still on steroids) nothing for 8 months then I have the same symptoms all over again, started on steroids again and they do another colonoscopy whilst on steroids agin biopsies normal. New gastro dr thinks maybe crohns instead I’m at the end of my tether and don’t know what to do please help xxx

. I agree that the scope may be clear due to the fact that you were already on steroids. I don't really know what to say, because unless your disease is active, there really isn't a way to know whether it's Crohn's or UC. Ordinarily, the biopsies would be looked at under a microscope, and that would be able to help identify which it was.
