What's your post-colonoscopy meal?

I always get a pizza but my father-in-law swears by pancakes. What do you eat after you get your colonoscopy done?

  1. Hi Eshani! We received a lot of responses to this question on Facebook. Our community members said....

Whatever I want as a reward to myself! But I avoid sharp pointy food

I like a good toasted bagel with egg and cheese

    Scrambled eggs & toast

    Pasta

    Gluten free blueberry pancakes!

Biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, and ham.

Chow mein and ham fried rice

Sleep sleep and maybe an old fashioned plain donut

    Pancakes or scrambled eggs

      2. This sounds perfect. Buttered toast is a go-to for me as well. -Elizabeth (team member)

    2. Back in the days when I used to eat more meat, I always woke from colonoscopies craving a greasy cheeseburger. Today, I avoid red meat, so my cravings vary. I'll tell you what I DON'T crave: I don't crave broth or Jell-O! Ha Ha! I get so sick of that when I'm prepping for a colonoscopy, which I'll be doing here in a few weeks. Yay, me. (Sarcasm.) Thanks for posing the question! --Traci, UC-IBD Team Member
