Should I see a doctor?

Hello, I have ulcerative colitis. I was diagnosed 4 years ago. I'm having a mild flare-up, I don't have severe diarrhea but I've been bleeding for a month and 3 days now. They did a blood test like 2-3 weeks ago and I wasn't anemic but I'm beginning to feel very tired and sometimes I get dizzy. Should I go to the ER? I don't know what to do, this disease is so confusing. This flare up is mild compared to others I've had, but I'm starting to feel very tired anyways, and bleeding everyday is not so normal. Any advice?

  1. Hi ,

I'm so sorry you've been experiencing an increase in symptoms. My best advice would be to reach out to your doctor and communicate how you are feeling and what you are concerned about. They should be able to give advice on whether the ER would be a helpful visit or if there's something you can do in their office or at home to manage your symptoms.

Please update us once you have talked to your doctor! We'll be thinking of you!

    Warmly,

    1. Hi Azar - how have you been feeling since that rotten flare that resulted in a lot of bleeding? How are you doing lately?
