Still no results from blood work or pill camera
Hello! I had an IBD blood test done well over a month ago. I also sent in the pill camera via FedEx express mail to a lab In California on Feb 26th. My doctor said he would contact me. I was feeling better for a short time. And the stomach pains & diarrhea are back. I feel so drained. Going to call Monday. I’ve been trying to be patient. I’m growing weary over it all. Not sure what to eat except toast & baked potatoes, fries, crackers, etc. Does anyone know how long all of this takes? Thanks in advance!

! I know it's incredibly frustrating having to wait all of the time. I often say it feels like waiting is a symptom of IBD! Waiting for appointments, waiting for tests, waiting for results, waiting for prescriptions, waiting to see if a treatment helps...

I'm sorry I can't advise you on what to eat, as we're all so different! The best thing I can advise you to do is start a food diary to track what bothers you!
The blood test results are usually back within a few days - do you know what they were actually looking for? Was it inflammation markers? As for the pill cam, this can vary. There are an awful lot of images to look through, so this can take some time. Maybe your consultant is intending to report back to you about both tests at the same time.
I obviously don't know where in the world you are, but I know that our healthcare system in the UK is currently very stretched due to COVID-19, so things are not running as efficiently as they should be right now.

Just writing to see if you've gotten any results back at all yet - I've been thinking of you. The waiting process can be brutal. Hopefully by now that you saw Dr. Monday you've got some results back?
