I definitely can offer some moral support! I know how challenging it is to be on steroids. But...as you point out...you only have two weeks to go! So, that's the good part! Stay focused on that aspect. You're almost through it. How's your gut doing? I know the symptoms you're experiencing are tough to deal with, but if your gut issues improve, then that's key. Are you doing anything to distract yourself from the headaches, anxiety, mood swings, etc.? In other words, are you finding ways to treat yourself? Soak in a bubble bath, listen to soothing music, meditate, read books that interest you, do yoga, etc. I just started using an app called "In Sight Timer." It's a meditation app, and I absolutely LOVE it! It offers guided meditation by mindfulness experts and also provides soothing music and ambient sounds to calm the mind. Maybe it could help you sleep?? Check it out on your phone if you get the chance. Whenever I'm prescribed oral steroids, I've just learned that's the time I "treat" myself in the smallest of ways. I ask loved ones to "please be understanding," and then I just choose to do activities that are most relaxing to me personally. Above all, please be KIND to yourself right now. You're doing just fine. Keep reminding yourself of this. Besides, after this round of treatment, you will feel so much better. So in the meantime, just be gentle with yourself because you are so worth it. And by all means, vent as much as you need to. We're here for you. Thinking of you and sending air HUGS your way!!
