Colitis diagnosis

I was diagnosed on Dec 18 with ulceractive colitis, with a follow up appointment April 19, the consultant gave me some suppositories to take which helped with my bleeding but didn’t help with any other symptoms I’ve got. I’ve been back to my doctors lots of times, they don’t want to help, and I’ve rang my consultants secretary a few times as well just to be told I can’t be seen any earlier, and I just don’t no what else to do. I’m Hardly eating, in pain all the time, everyday is a struggle, I have a 6 year old and my own business, and all I want to do is stay in bed and do nothing. Getting out the house everyday is so hard. Never did I think I could end up feeling like I do. Has anybody else had problems with being seen??

  1. I know this struggle! Honestly, if you are bleeding and having pain, just go to the Emergency Room. You can even have an emergency colonoscopy done the following day. I've had to go this route many times.

Also, in the meantime, lots of bone broth. It will give you the essential nutrients and promote healing of the gut. Whatever you do, stay away from grains and dairy until things get under control.

    I hope this helps some.

    1. Hi , I know it's been a couple months, so I just wanted to follow up to see how you're feeling. I'm hoping you have found some relief. Sending warm wishes, Pam (team member)

  2. Hello!! I just wanted to say that I understand you. I’m sorry that you have to suffer. But if it makes any difference, you are not alone.
Are you on Pentasa??? Or any corticosteroids???
    Can you find another doctor???
