Anyone with a similar expirence?
Couple weeks ago I went to the ER because of a bloody BM. They did blood work which was normal and a ct scan and said I had some inflammation and diagnosed me with colitis. I booked a GI appt but they can’t see me for another month to start treatment. I have been on antibiotics cefdinir and metrozoline. And finally finished. I haven’t really had any BM during it but when I do it’s dark and pencil thin that doesn’t hold its shape. I don’t see any blood in it though.
Sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but I would check with your GP instead of waiting for the GI appointment. Dark thin stools can be a variety of things from intestinal bleeding to simply something you ate or supplements. I know its scary to see.
