Breast augmentation and UC
Hi everyone! To preface this, I’ve had UC since 2011 and I am now 24. I’ve always wanted a breast augmentation due to insecurities growing up but I always found myself chickening out. Recently, I’ve lost a lot of weight and my breast are the smallest they’ve ever been which makes them even more… non existent so I have been researching more about getting them done. I was wondering if any of you ladies have gotten a breast augmentation post UC or IBD and if you have noticed any worsening of symptoms or increase in flares?

This is such a great question. I haven't had the procedure done but I do know my doctor has told me that once diagnosed healing becomes a bit compromised. Sharing this info not to deter you at all. But just be mindful healing might take longer for you than someone without the diagnosis. I wanted to get a different procedure done and I decided to opt out. I'm sure others will soon chime in.
