Am I also sending out a an odor?

Tenesmus is such a nuisance. Not sure what you mean exactly when you say "sending out an odor."

If I am on the toilet straining and not producing a bowel movement, yes there can be odor as sometimes I may pass gas, or even the blood/mucus that comes out can have an odor since it is coming from the anus. However, if I am not on the toilet, there is no odor that is being produced.
