Six years ago I had chronic perianal abscesses for two years, during the last 6 months of that time I had diarrhea 10 + times a day. Had a colonoscopy done which was normal with normal biopsies. A few months later they found out I had a complex fistula. GI doc said “nothing I can do for you”. Ended up going to colorectal surgeon with a drain for a year and antibiotic cocktail. Finally resolved. Over the past few years I always have had on and off GI pain, diarrhea, bleeding of my three fissures that never went away. Fast forward to last month horrible diarrhea, pain, and had positive celiac serology but negative biopsies. Doctor says he wants to do colonoscopy to look for Crohn's again. I guess I’m asking has anyone had negative biopsies before and then it show up later during a colonoscopy? I don’t want to waste my time to hear it’s normal go suffer somewhere else.
