tests

hi guys, i’ll make this quick, i’ve had a lot of tests so far which include the standard stool tests and blood tests, along with an endoscopy, a colonoscopy (with biopsy’s) and a capsule endoscopy (aka pill camera) and all have showed me to be fine but i still experience pain, a ton of bloating, nausea, painful stool, fatigue, dizziness, headaches, body aches, my eyes burning (i know that sounds weird but thought i’d mention my eyes burn whenever my stomach hurts) and belching (sometimes with liquid coming up)

so my question here is, would something like a CT scan or an MRI or MRE show something that all three types of scope tests mentioned above didnt show? ive been sick for 6 months now and really just want some answers and evidence that it’s not “in my head” 🙁 help!

(also yes i take things like fiber, follow a low fodmap diet hoping it would help, already dont consume lactose anyways, and stay away from gluten as much as physically possible (haven't had a bagel or slice of pizza in who knows how long lol)

  1. Thank you for your question, @nodiagnosis. I am so sorry that you are experiencing these symptoms and receiving no answers. The tests you have gotten are typically used for diagnostic purposes, however, in your case, it seems like a second opinion from a different GI and/or additional testing (CT scan, MRI, etc.) would be necessary since your symptoms are persisting with no diagnosis.

    1. the tests you've had so far have looked at your insides FROM the inside. There's a possibility that other tests may highlight bowel thickening or something that might not be seen from the inside. It's always worth a go. You know your body better than anyone else, so if you feel that things aren't right, then they're probably not.
Have you been tested for Coeliac disease?
