Citrate-Free Humira

I’m curious as I just had my Dr. take me off Humira, and he put me on methotrexate. Now seeing the new Humira, can anyone on the new Humira tell me if it’s just the injection that has been made better? Or, since the shot made me nauseous, tired, and I’d be out of it for days, has the shot itself become better? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Shelby, I completely understand that each person is different, which is why I posted the question…to get different people’s experiences.

Hi @hennesseygurl, thanks so much for reaching out! It’s important for us to note that treatments work differently for different people, so one person’s experience might not be another’s. It’s best to consult your doctor about your treatment-related options. Additionally, this article about one of our advocate’s experience with Citrate-free Humira may be helpful: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/living/pain-free-humira/
Thanks again for reaching out and please feel welcome to do so anytime! I hope others will chime in and share their personal experiences with you as well. – Shelby, IBD.net Team Member
