I am a 27 year old female, and for the better part of three years have had abdominal pain, bloating and diorreah, at first they thought it was endometriosis as I had very heavy periods , but when I had the surgery they couldn’t find any , then started going to the toilet every time I ate , and there was blood in my stool and certain things would flare me up to the point of where I would be in agony, had a endoscopy and a colonoscopy but they couldn’t see anything, now waiting on a capsule endoscopy as they said it may be in a part of intestines they can’t see , they seem to think I have ibd but just waiting on this test . Xxx

  1. Hi , sorry to hear about the symptoms you have been experiencing the past three years. I truly hope your medical team can get to the root cause soon and help you find some relief. In the meantime, I included some general info about IBD, just in case you were interested - https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/diagnosis and https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/symptoms and https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/types-of-ibd. Please feel free to check back in and let us know how things are going. Again, hoping your physicians get to the root cause soon. Wishing you some relief. 1. Sorry you are going through this. It is always frustrating when you are in limbo land waiting for a proper diagnosis. I hope you get some answers soon. Did they take biopsies during your colonoscopy? Also, have you had a stool test? That shows inflammation markers as well which is super helpful with diagnosing. Keep your head up. You should get answers soon after the capsule endoscopy. In the mean time, try diet change to help along with high quality supplements like a good probiotic. Big hugs, Elizabeth (team member)

      1. Thankyou for all your lovey kind messages . I have had a stool sample but they couldn’t see anything so that’s why they started on the other tests . I’m not sure if they have taken biopsys I will ask , I’ve cut so many things out of my diet so it’s annoying when I’m being so strict and a new food suddenly flares me up . I hope I will get answers soon xxxxx
