Social Security Disability Insurance

Hey everyone, I’m new here. I’m wondering if anyone has any information on SSDI for Crohn’s disease? I am 49 years old and I was diagnosed at age 4. I have had different treatments over the years. Last year I ended up having a fistula and abscess so they placed a seton tube. Six months later I had another one so another surgery with another tube. Also diagnosed with neuropathy and fibromyalgia. I’m currently on remicade every 6 weeks, azathioprine, dicyclomine, gabapentin, and some other medications. I was let go from my job right before the pandemic started, so I am currently on unemployment. I am now worried about going to work again with everything going on with me. Any help is appreciated.

  1. Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out & sharing some of your story with us. I don’t have personal experience with disability so I’m hoping you’ll get some personal responses as well but in the meantime, I wanted to share some articles written by our advocates. I’m hoping you find them helpful!
