I am so sorry to hear that you have developed chronic leukemia, . How are you doing currently? If you would like to share more, please know this community is here for you.

Unfortunately, yes, some of the medication used to treat these types of chronic conditions have an increase risk of certain cancers. I hope any of our community members who have been diagnosed with leukemia can connect with you here. If you're interested, you could also register for the community there and ask your question in one of their forums, while I can't say for certain, they might also have community members whose leukemia is connected to medication.

I currently have blood work done every 3 months, no medication is needed at this point. I was diagnosed with CLL when my small intestine perfed from my Crohns. I had no idea I had CLL and was working full time as a hospice nurse taking night calls. Unfortunately I’ve been told to avoid biological therapy due to the allergic reaction to the Remecaide. Currently I’m on Budesonide to control my Crohns
