Looking for comment if anyone taking Wegovy

Hi . I can't personally speak to the use of GLP-1 medications (like Wegovy), but there is this fairly recent Forum on the topic: https://inflammatoryboweldisease.net/forums/ibd-ibs-and-lack-of-benefit-from-ozempic-semaglutide. I did find this study looking at those taking a GLP-1 for diabetes that found "that treatment with GLP-1 based therapies may improve the disease course of IBD:" https://www.thelancet.com/journals/eclinm/article/PIIS2589-5370(21)00259-5/fulltext. Here is another study that found that GLP-1 treatment "can be considered as a potential therapeutic candidate for the treatment of UC" (note this study was done in mice): https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10496996/. Finally, this editorial cites research on the topic and calls for more research into the use of GLP-1 medications for various types of IBD to fight obesity: https://academic.oup.com/crohnscolitis360/article/5/2/otad008/7058788. All of this points to potential promise for these treatments, but also the need for further research. Hopefully others will chime in with any personal experiences.
